In this webinar, you’ll hear directly from the Chicago Department of Buildings about new and improved processes to obtain permits for small interior alterations (up to 2,000 square feet), get started on interior demolition while a buildout permit application is under review, and get monthly permits for routine plumbing or electrical maintenance. 

As part of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Cut the Tape initiative, the Department launched its Express Permit Program in the fall of 2023. It expanded the program to cover additional types last fall.
